They have sent me 'first notification of change' to my flight in May
BUT there is no change ? all the details are as booked ?
Anybody had similar mail from them ?

Hola
Check both out & the return, I have a theory that the pilots have been told to throttle back to save fuel - the flights seem to take longer now Has anyone else noticed this

Re: Ryanair
As I said in 1st post ALL flight details are the same ! ie leaves from same airport at same time on same day, same month and arrives back at booked airport at same time, day and month as booked. I am only doing return with them.
Oh I hate that stupid horn, was not played on my flights back end of last year thank the lord stupid childish nonsense

Re: Ryanair
Don't know about Ryanair but flight times have increased with Jet2. It used to be 2hrs 25 minutes, Leeds to Alicante, its now 2hrs 50mins. No other reason than flying slower to conserve more fuel. Wouldn't surprise me if Ryanair are the same.
We are flying ryanair in May, so I'll be able to tell better then. Last time we used paddyair it took 2hrs 10 sometimes 2 hrs for the same journey, its been 4 years since then, so any lengthier will be easy to spot.

Re: Ryanair
Another reason they do this (not only ryanair) is so they don't appear high on the list of delays.

There are numerous other reasons why journey times between identical desinations vary so much.
Tail winds as against headwimds is just one of those things that can make a very significant difference in journey times.
Matching into slots through congested areas and prior to reaching the destination or landing is just another.
