I guess that's life.....

Ah-ah you see, that's why I like England's climate - mainly temperate. Just hoping winter isn't as cold as last year though...

That's true, you'll see the threads change from air conditioning and swimming pools, to heating, wood burners, the price of logs, leaks, mould, damp etc. ;)

Actually, when everyone bitches about the heat, I don't. I might say that it's a little bit warm (the neighbours find that quite funny when the concrete is melting), but I don't like to complain when I spend all winter bitching about the cold and rain.

If you like clouds and not much sun, then the UK is the place for you. I hated the weather there so much. Dull, grey and lifeless, with just enough sun to make you realise what you were missing.

In the UK I used to hear people saying 'Oh what a lovely day' just because the sun came out for ten minutes. (That is NOT an exaggeration.)

The first two weeks we spent over here when we completed the contracts for the house, I couldn't believe my eyes. The sky was blue all day, every day with not a single cloud.

It's no longer quite such a wonder, but I still appreciate it.

The first time I was over here, what I liked even more than blue sky every day was starry skies every night. I love it.
