I think I found the report about this poll. It's not very in depth!

I hate to generalise about nationalities so all I can say is that most tourists I meet are not rude, no matter where they are from

I am British (English) but have a father-in-law who was born French (moved to the UK at age 22 at the beginning of WW2, joined Free French Navy, later married an English girl and became British naturalised), and an American daughter-in-law so for these reasons don't feel I can really knock either country BUT I did work for several years for an American firm in London where, when they wanted to send you a memo, always referred to you by your employment number rather than name, AND there has always been dislike between the French and English for hundreds of years so I don't think that will go away. Individually you will always find people of most countries who are pleasant to know and likewise people who aren't, don't think nationality really comes into it.

I dont know any tourists that go on a talk board, I dont when I am on Holiday, better things to do.
I have been on cruises where I have logged on to emails, and sent some from the ship, had a nosey at the newspapers on line, including the daily mail, but anyone who goes on holiday and sits on forums, is a saddo indeed.

I said nothing personal to you in my post,I just gave my opinion about TOURISTS, I did not have a dig at anyone, but I did notice your sly dig at the posters on BE.
So you take my comment as wanting a brawling match, then?
Well you seem to have a persecution complex, have you tried therapy?
Because you are like a silly little boy in the playground, with your comments.
As I am usually on your ignore list, why dont you put me back on there, and then you would not have to read my posts looking for a "brawling match".

BTW could you point me to the part of my post that you think is the "ofending and agressive" part that seems to have god your back up so much?

Not really, my opening post was meant as a joke (which is why it included the smilies). Since by any definition I am a tourist when I currently visit Spain (although I still hold out the hope of returning there, perhaps to retire) the joke was more aimed at the likes of me than at most on here who are expats.

I always take my lappy on holiday (now my Ipad). Wouldn't bother if I was doing a Ryanair flight for a weekend piss up in Madrid but if going for a few weeks, especially touring it's useful. booking/cancelling hotels, finding local info' etc. checking bank accounts to see if I have any money left
I have to confess to sometimes reading the forum...what else to do when you wake at 4am when not adjusted to the time zone (don't tell me!!
)
You can also skype the one you love to hate, position the screen and say look at the view from my balcony

Once had a postcard from my brother, first holiday with his mates. Showed this fab hotel in Ibiza. He said brilliant hotel, unfortunately we are 2 blocks back from it and overlooking the rubbish bins
