RTVE Code g01?
 

Hi,

For the past week or so, I've not been able to view certain TV videos due to this code g01. What's it all about?

It may help if you say what type / make / model of video machine are you using? Were you able to watch the videos before? Assuming thats what you mean by "certain TV videos".

Or, is this something to do with Spanish digital TV , since the title of the thread has RTVE in it? In which case, what s the make / model f the TDT receiver you are using? ANd is it just RTVE chanels you are having issues with? Perhaps a rescan of channel will fix the problem.

Thank you for your reply, The Guy. Apologies for the vague post. I meant viewing the online rtve.es videos, for which I had no problems previously.
Now, as an example, there is a message on the most recent "Cuéntame" episode video which reads "! Lo sentimos, este contenido ya no está disponible. (cod. g01)"
The same message applies when I try another program (Las chicas de oro), yet, not for "Españoles en el mundo".

Perhaps if you post the link to the videos others can try it out also...?

edit : Found them: "Las chicas de oro - T1 - Capítulo 13" is OK for me....as is "Cuéntame cómo pasó - T12 - Capítulo 201"

perhaps you got them when they were updting the links...?

I'm calling it quits for tonight. Just tried again the video for "Españoles en el mundo - Jerusalén", and this time it says "not available" when earlier on it was(?) Also, I can't get previous episodes of "Cuéntame", or "Amar en tiempos revueltos"...boo-hoo!
It must be my computer. Memory thingy?

My computer is somewhat temperamental when it comes to memory issues, but I can watch these videos OK.

Did you have the thunderstorm last night?
Just wondering because we did and the electric went off a couple of times, it messed up my Internet Security program, and I had to reactivate it.....maybe it's somthing of the sort with your PC.

Thanks for the input megmet. Do you refer to the thunderstorm in Spain? If so, then no, because I'm in frozen Scotland.:)
The same "cod.g01" occurs when I use a separate netbook, so I'm wondering if this applies only to viewers outside of Spain?
Having googled it, the only information I can note is that some sports videos are not available to some viewers in other countries eg. Argentina.
Could this be a similar issue that RTVE (internacional) had with Skye (vice versa) a while ago, ie. transmission via www?

Yes the thunderstorm was in Spain...sorry I thought you were here. :unsure:

It does sound like it's the same sort of problem that we have here, we can't view the iplayer in Spain. :(

I'm in UK, and from the programmes you mentioned, I must admit to only watching "Españoles en el mundo". Not into telenovelas, nor soaps in any language!:) But just tried all of them, and no problems here, they all run perfectly.

Many thanks for your replies. Still puzzled & working on it, but think it has to do with virtual memory on my computer.

Just watching some of those programmes and they were all fine, but I just got that error on one of the nature programmes. Says it's not available, I don't think it has anything to do with your computer memory, it loaded the next one I selected without any problem, Jara y sedal - Luces de media veda.
