At some point it should be feasible (maybe it is already) to have a screen on your wall showing a view from an internet webcam in say the Himalayas or a Norwegian fjord or Yosemite national park.

Don't know about over there, but a webcam would just show murk & rain hereabouts so maybe a Hilda Ogden 'muriel' would be the best bet;)

All jokes apart.
We just HAD to have a view when we brought a house here.
We are 3k from a town and on a rise so can see the town, especially at night, and its so pretty with all the twinkling lights.
The other direction is hills and mountains with grapes, almonds, cherries and olives
When I take the dog out each morning i tramp upwards through the fields, quite a hike and then turn around to come back and it ALWAYS takes my breath away. I often get a sort of butterfiles in my tum and i never never tire of it, spcially in autumn and sprng when the sky can be hazy, the sun just coming up and sometimes an early mist rising too
Been here over 5 years so guess its the thing for me!

Nothing like a bit of negativity to cheer you up in the morning.

It´s not negative, it´s the human condition. It is as it is.
