RIP OFF PLUMBERS

have you been ripped off by plumbers here in spain, i went to a customer yesterday that had been given a high quote to rip her floor up to find a leak , after 20 mins i found the cause to be a faulty non return valve which cost less than 5 euros and took 20 mins to fit. please contact me if you think you have paid too much. p.s.- idid this job free because i am retired now---------- just incase you think i may be looking for work.

Re: RIP OFF PLUMBERS

I usually get a couple of quotes before I have any plumbing work done. In fact I had a problem with my pool last summer, I phoned a British company and they quoted my 1800€ and said it would take at least a week, I phoned a Spanish company and they quoted me 400€ and did the job in three days!

It comes across that you are touting for business and you are not allowed to advertise on the forum. Suggest you read the rules!

The pipes between the filters and the pump were leaking, so the pool emptied when the filters were on. It involved digging up the pressed concrete patio area

I did assume you were touting in my reply but then you edited your post after to add this line, my apologies.
Are you conducting a personal study for a reason or is it that you are willing to offer free advice on plumbing issues?
