Hello
Am looking at buying into a residential park home and like the idea of moving somewhere north of Valencia up as far as Barcelona.
I don't seem to be able to find many residential park home sites on the internet for that area. Is it because there aren't many or they don't have web sites?
Any reccomendations would be great then I can arrange a trip to view a few.
Thanks

Haven't really seen this type of living in Catalunya where you buy a plot/purchase a unit on a campsite. There are plenty of campsites where you can just book online and bring your motorhome, or rent a fixed mobile home for a longer period. I suppose it makes more sense for a business to own the land and you generate more money with tourism rather than permanent living. We have a place above Barcelona and a lot people either own a plot of land and used to place mobile homes on their land. Unfortunately this is no longer allowed and you would need a licence and many councils don't allow it/have certain building requirements.

Do not how many there are of your clan but an apartment outside of the city centers are normally cheaper than living on a trailer park...

Something new like this from other manufacturer in Spain is over 100K https://www.alucasa.com/en/mobile-homes/alabama-2d/ and nothing like the metal boxes people sometimes imagine

$4,200,000 for a mobile home in Malibu

It's just me, no clan. Maybe thats the answer a flat outside the center. I'm retiring, all i need is a little bar, a few friends and a cheap golf course. Not a lot to ask for.
What price can you pick up said appartment for. 2 beds, ground floor a must, ready to move in? Are there not communal fees?

You will have IBI (equivalent of Council Tax) to pay as well as your utility bills. The amount of IBI varies pretty widely between different towns and properties, there are not fixed bands as there are in the UK.
If you are buying a property, make sure you read up on Spanish inheritance tax. If you leave your estate to a more distant relative than a spouse, child or grandchild the inheritance tax can be quite high, has to be paid within six months of the death and must be paid before the property can be transfered into the name(s) of the beneficiaries so can't be sold to pay the IHT.

The general advice from many members was always to rent before you buy. Especially if you have a large search area, how close to the sea do you want to be, how noise sensitive are you? Actually, the most common complaint in Spain is noise. Some people can often put up with it when they are the tourist, how would it be if you are no longer the tourist? Sometimes it makes sense to visit at different times of the year and get a feel for an area. We have a small detached property, but even here things can annoy you.
I recently visited and the Spanish neighbour was complaining about barking dogs opposite from him, although even he has a barking dog
. A Russian couple now live there and have three very large barking dogs, two seem to be a sort of Bull Terrier and one German Shepherd. It's very common that dogs are just left outside to bark all day and are seen as guard dogs.

You have asked about property options - but have you considered the issues of moving to EU post-Brexit or do you have an EU passport?
Not trying to rain on your parade but have you done the other important research?
This might help - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/living-in-spain
and/or New Guide for Spain
good luck.

You say you want a ground floor apartment - I strongly advise against one close to the entrance door from the outside or on top of the usual noises that come with apartment living, you will get all the extra noise from people going out and coming in, standing about chatting by the entrance, postal, courier and furniture/appliances delivery people coming in and out and pizzas and the like being delivered at all hours.
