Residency and UK

After receiving Residency in Spain, who do you inform in the UK? Early retirement so not claiming old age pension.

No one. Tell National Insurance if you are continuing to pay that. If not you might want to continue paying. Calss " NICS is best Self-employed. When you have 35 years contributions you have enough for the State Retirement Pension.

You will have to pay tax in Spain on your worldwide income. If that includes payments from a private pension you may be able to get them paid gross once you are paying tax on them in Spain. That would eventually involve telling HMRC.

The information I got from HMRC was when you become resident in spain intending to live full time submit form p85 which informs them of your intention and they will assess if you are entitled to any UK tax refund. They then said once you have done a Spanish tax return you should submit a double tax treaty form.

As mentioned file your P85 to let HMRC know you have left the UK.
