Requirements for driving down to Spain?

Will be driving down to the CDS in a few weeks. I know I need an emergencey triangle and a spare set of bulbs, But do I need anything else? Someone has suggested that i need safety jackets??? Is this the case and if so do I need one for each passenger?. Also do I need lens convertors?

I think you will have it confirmed by a real expert and not me whos a pretend one :)
But you will require ;
a GB or Euro sticker
Warning triangle
Fire extinguisher
safety jackets 2
lens deflectors
spare bulbs
a map
a Spew Bag * note this isnt compulsory but handy if you have kids :)

All the car paperwork including ownership docs, European breakdown cover on the insurance.
Driving licence.
Passport.
Two triangles.
Jacket for every passenger, reachable before you exit car.
Rubber surgeons gloves and first aid kit, needed in case you are in an accident as it is obligatory to help the injured.
Set of spare lightbulbs.
Headlamp deflectors
Baby seats and booster seats for young children if onboard, dog restraints if carrying animals.
Spare glasses if you use them.
No GB sticker if your number plate has a Euro sign on it.

Probably missed some ;-)

The most important thing is the paperwork must be carried at all times in the car.
Big fines and a car in the pound till the paperwork is shown, if not carried.

Reminds me of when 3 of us came to Spain for a girly holiday back in the early 90's and thought it would be cool to hire a soft top Suzuki jeep as our mode of transport :o. At the car hire pick up point we spent about an hour trying to fit us and our baggage in the jeep. Ended up with someone having to sit on the cases on the back seat.

jdr has it correct, it is TWO red triangles, and a yellow jacket for each person in the car. Lots of people miss out on the fact that the jackets should be visible, usually on the backs of the drivers and passengers seats. Keep your ferry ticket handy as you will need that to prove the car hasn't been out of the UK more than the allowed time. Can't think of any that you have missed apart from good up to date maps. Carry bottles of water, both for human passengers and any animals as it will be HOT.

It's not that they have to be visible, they just have to be accessible from inside the vehicle i.e. not locked in the boot!
