Request from Mods
 

Hi all

If you spot any spammers, advertising posts or posts that offend could you please report the post so that it can be dealt with as soon as possible. By reporting a post it brings it to the attention of all mods and supermods so if we are not around they will act on our behalf.

Now I've usually just added a post to say 'reported' thought it ,ight save you getting multiple reports, am I in the wrong?

Best to hit the report post tab only. The reason is mods have a manipulation which allows us to delete all a spammers posts and ban them in one swift move. If that is the only post in the thread...the whole thread is deleted. If there are other posts the thread is not deleted although the opening post is. Does that make sense?


There was an instance a couple of weeks ago where I had deleted a spammy post without realizing someone had posted in the thread. The thread was then questioned by some as it didn't make sense because the opening post was missing.
