Renting a room for 2 months - possible?
Hi everyone!
Hope you're all well and enjoying Spain. I've been reading these forums for a little while but have just joined. I'm planning to come to Spain for July & August, I'm not overly fussy where I go - it could be Madrid - or anywhere in Andalucía - anywhere that's got a big enough population so that I can practice Spanish and sunshine.
I've rented for 2-3 months in Edinburgh and Cairo before so I know it's do-able, but I was wondering if anyone was aware of the situation in Spain? Is it worth leaving my part-time job (it's not that important to me, I'm a student) and booking my flights to return in 2 months in confidence that I'll find somewhere? My budget is about 350 euros a month, I'm very happy sharing with flatmates.
Thanks all!
Jasmine

Hi Jasmine,
As a landlord, I would certainly rent an apartment to you for that sort of money (including bills), but I'm not where you want to be (unfortunately).

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
Please let me know if you need any further help.
