Renting accomodation in Almeria
Hi, can anyone give me any information on the best way to rent in Almeria? Just basic accomodation and is there much availability?

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.
BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums. Please let me know if you need any further help. Rosemary |

Almería is not just a city but a province you may get more answers if you said whereabouts within the province you are thinking, unless of course you do actually mean the city of Almería?:)

Re: Renting accomodation in Almeria
Work will be very very hard to find, as you rightly say in Spain it is running at 25% on average over the country with someareas like mine with more than 50%. It will be hard in nigh on impossible to find work sorry, you may be lucky though.
Re Almería, sorry cannot help too much, but you could look at Roquetas de Mar which is close to the city of Almería there are some expat bars there. Or head further north to Albox or Vera areas. Province runs from near me at Adra, very Spanish town with fishing etc. and onward past the city up to Vera etc. Lots of small towns you really need to peruse the map and thencheck online, Mojacar play and pueblo also spring to mind, lot of expats but I dont know about these areas, so would hate to give wrong impression. Good luck with your search, Pat |
