Recycled cigarette butts !
 

I seldom read the Olive Press or any press cannot stand sensationalised reporting where the truth is neigh on non existant so when this 'report' about Spain being the 1st to recycle cigarette butts, popped up on something on another site I had to blink a few times and yes wonder if it was April 1st like one man commented.



"Spain is to become the first country in Europe to recycle cigarette butts, thanks to a joint project between British American Tobacco and TerraCycle."

That was the sum total of the 'report'

That's brilliant news though its a shame the Olive Press didn't give more details.

TerraCycle is an American company whose philosophy is that everything can be recycled and made into something useful. They opened a branch in Madrid earlier this year.

The butts are made into pellets which can be used to make all sorts of things, like insulation material.

I find it so annoying when people empty their butts in the carpark, so I can understand when someone comes along, picks them up and.............
dumps them on the bonnet of the car.:rofl:

Can't be true. Must be a conspiracy to take control of Spain ('cause the yanks are jealous of us).

Funny I'd just read that quote from her when I came across this thread.

I reckon she must have had a hard time of it in her early days and it's showed through with a vengeance ever since
