Hi all,
I recently read a thread someone posted here about being resident here in Spain while wanting to be self employed in the UK. The thread didn't really answer my question and I realise it would be best to talk to a local accountant to check my legal obligations, so any recommendation for a good reliable accountant who speaks reasonable English would be greatly appreciated.
I have a LTD company registered in the UK and pay all my taxes in the UK. I don't have access to public health nor any benefits here in Spain and am not applying for it. So would hope to speak to an accountant that has experience with my scenario.
Thank you,
Daniel

If you are resident here you are obliged to declare for tax here with the double taxation treaty your UK tax payments will be taken into account but you still need to declare to be legal.
Maybe if you give us your area you will get more responses regarding tax advisers.

Just for the record if you live in Spain then not having access to public health care or receiving benefits have nothing to with anything including your position regarding tax.
Whether applied for or not once you've spent over 182 days in the country then you are a de facto tax resident.

Hi Chrisjolly,
Thank you for your reply. That's very helpful to know. I'll look up some local tax advisors on line.
Best,
Daniel
