Default Real grass in Orihuela Costa

I have a big garden on which I would like to lay real grass. However, all I can find online is artificial grass
Call me old fashioned, but I want to water my grass and go through the trouble of cutting it (well, not necessarily myself ).
Can anybody please recommend somebody in Orihuela Costa who can lay real grass?

The fact that finding a supplier tells you everything you need to know. And your water bill will be astronomic. Suggest you reconsider or move to an area more suitable for growing grass.

Of course you can grow grass ........ There are many golf courses in Costa Blanca.

Go visit one or more garden centre. If they are not able to assist visit one or more of the many golf courses, ask to speak with their greens keeper for his recommendations.

Yes, there are 3 golf courses in Orihuela Costa but most private people do not have large lawns. But each to their own.

Agreed, it's not something I would want either :-)

I wanted a banana tree in my garden, but my garden centre advised me not too;

When we built our house we decided that an "English Lawn" would look nice. We did not want the creeping Med grass as it was too coarse so we sowed a lawn (70m2) with seed bought locally and suitable for a hot coastal area.

That was 15 years ago and to maintain it has taken hours of effort with patchy (literally) results. It looked dreadful in the winter and just about OK in spring and early summer. By August it was usually a very patchy mess. Overall it looked OK for about 25% of the time. OK, from a distance it was not too bad but when you mowed it, you then see just how bad it was. We spent a lot of time repairing it and reseeding the bad patches. It had an increasing percentage of clover which did not succumb to lawn weedkiller. Eventually we stopped trying as the cut clover was the best looking part of the lawn.

We had eight popup sprinklers so it got plenty of water. Plenty is perhaps an understatement. In the summer it was taking 1 cubic meter every day. Luckily that was not a great expense as we have an agricultural water supply. If it was a metered town supply the cost would be crazy.

To cut a long story short, 3 months ago we had the whole lot ripped up and installed an artificial lawn. It's looks brilliant and no water or maintenance required. Just wish we had done it years ago. Does anyone want to buy a lawnmower?
