Re: Rain.
Looks very bad.
Is this an annual phenomenon, similar to the Gota Fria or a one off?

Re: Rain.
It's unlikely to go anywhere near Spain.
It is an area of low pressure that has formed near the Canaries. These usually go west and sometimes turn into a real hurricane - almost all Atlantic hurricanes are "born" close to the African coast. They then move west and strengthen into full blown storms. Very, very occasionally they move north and can reach Spain, but they are not very strong as they have not had a chance to develop. This one is forecast to stay around its present position for a bit before moving south west.
The National Hurricane Centre is monitoring it. You can see it here

This site also shows the remains of Hurricane Gonzalo which is due to hit the UK tomorrow.

Re: Rain.
It's the same here on the south coast, over 30ºc for the last four days. It's forecast to cool down a bit tomorrow.
You are getting air in direct from the Sahara.

Re: Rain.
Those street displays always give a high reading as they don't have enough shade from the direct sun. The Las Palmas weather stations recorded a maximum 33º today which is still pretty hot for late October.
It was about that here as well, but it looks like it will a bit cooler tomorrow both here and in the Canaries.
