Okay - personally I would think that The Muslim Law Council of Great Britain (as per my link) would count as a slightly more definitive source on this issue, but perhaps that's just me .

My view is many cultures and religion are just not compatable with the western world , 99% of immigrants are against integration or their religion will not allow it so there`s not a cat in hells chance of us all getting along happily.

I heard at the weekend that muslims are not allowed to donate organs after death but there thousands on the UK NHS waiting list for organ transplants, now this is enough to wind up the most understanding anti racist surely!!!

To get a little back on topic, (hi I'm new), I start work as an employee for the first time in many years. Tomorrow I go to sign my contract of employment and am curious as to how I'm going to be welcomed. The manager has already mentioned that the future retiree I'm to replace has been bugging him for weeks to hurry up and hire the "giri". I laughed when he told me this, it's just a reference name for where I'm from. I will however keep an account as to how this goes. My Spanish is fairly basic but I don't look English. I do however get the occasional strange look when I talk in English when in the metro. I have come accross a great deal of racism in the few years since I moved here but also came across a great deal of it when in the UK. I'm going to my new job to work and make money, if I make friends as well then that's a bonus and not part of my job requirement.

Well, having just spent my third day at work in an all Spanish (who'd have thought it in Spain lol) company I've recieved nothing but a great welcome from all (except the guy who things I'm there so they can boot him out) in there. I understand that this is Madrid and there may be differences in Barça but I couldn't be happier. On another note though my job is highly skilled and requires a great deal of continual concentration so this does have its' advantages when seeking work, also on another note I don't think there's anyone under 55 years of age there so I'm feeling young again.
