A great guitarist, died whilst on holiday in Mexico. I love listening to his work, a sad loss.

A very sad loss indeed, the word genius is overused in music as in all areas, but as a great fan of Flamenco I truly believe this colossus of the genre was.

Yes, I share all your sentiments. Must rank as being the greatest guitarist, ever.
A pity he wasn't too well known in UK. Seems that Paco Peña was more popular with us for some reason.

I think it's probably due to the fact Flamenco is pretty much unheard of in the UK outside of London, at least that's the impression I got in The Midlands, where I grew up. My grandfather was from Granada, which was the only reason I grew up around it.

I agree he was arguably the greatest guitarist of all time, such a shame to hear of his passing.
