Quick and easy question on postal addresses
 

We have been given the address of our new apartment, and it contains the line

T.M. de Palma

Can anyone tell me what the T.M. stands for. Google hasn't been a great deal of help, I'm sure you guys will.

Never heard that one before, but I'd guess the same. It's likely an unnecessary technical distinction. The postcode really tells all.

An address formed like this is perfectly valid:

Calle Sant Joan 42
07001 Palma
Baleares
España

Not really the postcode - 21400 for Ayamonte covers the whole municipality. In contrast a six digit UK post code MK9 5BS is down to at most 9 houses.
