Question about Benidorm

Hi all. I live on the north coast but am meeting my Mum in Benidorm as she fancies a bit of winter sun. I see on Wikipedia that there's "early morning exercise" on the beach, which from the photo looks like stretches and stuff. Given that she's approaching an age where mobility becomes a factor it would be great for her to attend these.

I've been to Benidorm once and remember that it has a long coast. Does anyone know what part of the beach they are on? Are they summer only or winter too - specifically January. She hasn't yet booked a hotel so if I can find out where they are she can book one nearby.

Thanks for any help. I'd love for her to move to Spain and this sort of thing would be a big plus.

Hi Lagoo,

The "early morning" exercise groups normally gather on Poniente beach very near to Dove Park. I have walked past these groups also in the afternoon so maybe there are several groups. It seems to be a popular choice for many as the groups on the sand can be 20+ people and passers by stand on the prom to join in.

I'm sorry but I can't advise you of any particular days or times but maybe the information office could help.

Steve

Hi,
Hope this helps.
They are normally "Exercising" here.

Thanks, I could watch that all day! It must be warm down there for someone to be sunbathing in trunks. What'll be good about Benidorm is that it's flat so we'll be able to go walking along the front there in the clean air.
