Property purchase

I recently returned to the UK after viewing some properties in the Villena/Sax area (Inland Alicante region)

Any advice on which are the nice and safe villages to purchase property in that area would be most welcome, and how I can be sure that the prices I have been quoted are accurate selling prices and not "Tourist prices" for some of the houses viewed.

Any other tips/help would be most appreciated.

Hi

The best way to tell if you have been quoted a price that is not a 'tourist' price is to go around the local estate agents and see what price they have the property listed for. You can also search the internet and see what sites have the property listed and for what price. Prices do vary a lot so it is worth doing some research.

If you are buying in Spain you may also find this article useful as it tells the the buying process and fees involved:

Hope it helps
