Default proof of income for residencia

I have my state pension paid into my Unicaja bank, which just shows " world link" on the statement. Is this sufficient proof for my residencia application or do I need more. Somebody told me that I would have to go all the way to the jeffetura de poilicia in Seville get a form and bring it all the way back to my bank to have it validated and then take itall the way back to Seville with my application.
Thanks in advance Pete.

If this is anything the standard residencia application system, you can save yourself the first trip by downloading the application form from the website, completing it (in triplicate, I think) then taking it to the bank with payment.

If I remember correctly, I had to have an official letter from the bank, to accompany the application for residenca, proving that I had sufficient regular income to support myself. My regular payments from a private pension into the bank shows "transfer" but the bank took my word for it that it was a regular pension.

I didn't need any other proof of pension income.

is there a requirement for minimum a mount under 'self sufficiency' as an retired person, single or couple - if so, how much is it?

Is age a factor or does this apply to only those at state pension age?

Off to bank in morning then on to Seville as soon as I get letter. I will update my progress for benefit of others. Both my wife and I have a full UK state pension paid into our Spanish account, and we own our home jointly. This is enough for us to live on easily unless the pound takes a huge nosedive.
Pete.

It would appear that although it is not published the accepted norm is the level an average Spanish pensioner might receive around €500 a month. Whilst few Spanish pensioners receive the max pension which can be as high as €3000 per month the bulk do seem to get at least as much as a standard UK PENSIONER WOULD RECEIVE. This may also explain why if you just have the State pension from UK it is more than covered by the allowances Spain gives against tax.

If you are in receipt of a UK state pension, then this will suffice.

If not, the accepted amount seems to be around 600€ per month per person and/or 6000€ savings in a Spanish bank (depends on who you ask).

@post #6 & 8....thanks

Spanish old age pension of €500/mth, not too shabby, so the Brit state pension that is on average slightly higher should be sufficient for someone to live as a retiree in Spain?

Someone on UK basic state pension would be getting just over 600 Euros per month at today's exchange rate. Of course if someone has maximum SERPs entitlement it could go to over 800 euros per month. What is enough enough to live on in Spain depends on so many things, lifestyle, do you own or rent a property being major factors. When I am in Spain on my own modest life style odd meal and drinks per week in the village I can spend less than 100 Euros per week including food shopping etc. However I own our house outright if I was paying rent or mortgage then obviously that would increase my outgoings. I would guess that if single and modest lifestyle one could manage on basic state pension including utilities if not paying rent or mortgage. However what about trips back to UK etc. With the addition of SERPs or the new full flat rate pension I think it would be easier. But reality is how long is a piece of string?

A UK credit card with a usable credit limit of about €6000 is adequate proof of financial resources.

Exactly it it is not how much coming in or how much going out, but the difference between the two. We own our house and we can manage fine, including an odd trip or two back to the UK to see the family.

if I remember (2007) the completed triplicate form was endorsed by the extranjanos office who gave me an invoice which I had to take to a bank round the corner pay the €10 then back with one part as a receipt to the office then they start the process.
