problems receiving txt messages from UK with yoigo

After changing from a orange payg sim to one provided by yoigo because their charges are much cheaper I have recently started to have problems receiving txt messages from my sister in the UK. Sometimes the messages can take 2 or 3 days to arrive on my spanish phone, or on a few occasions never arrive at all.
We have experimented with her sending messages to a friends orange payg sim and the messages are always received immediately, so this rules out any problem at the UK end.
I wondered whether anyone else has had this problem or any suggestions other than ditching yoigo and going back to orange.

Maybe posting a letter would be quicker?

People on Yoigo can't even phone my wife! They get a message stating that her number does not exist yet other networks have no problem.
