My family and I are hoping to move to Barcelona for the new academic year in 2010. I have two daughters 4 & 9, we intend to stay for a year and be able to re-intergrate both Children back to the UK School System.
We have looked and put our daughters names down for the British School at Castelldefells. Can anyone give me any personal experience of that School and also of the American School of Barcelona. Thanks.

I dont live in Barcelona, but I would imagine that an American school isnt going to make it easy for your children to go back into the UK education system

I would make the observation that for the 4 year old it wouldn't hurt her one little bit to be in Spanish state school (pre-escolar) for a year and wouldn't hurt her re-integration back into the UK system either if you are proactive parents & prepared to do your bit at home while she's enjoying a period of time learning something of a second language
