We bought a 2007 Honda Accord Executive, leather interior 2.0 litre, petrol, automatic with 40,000 miles and 2 owners from Chesham in November.
We've been driving a RHD car here for 12 years - therefore not an issue.
It is immaculate.
£4945.
After changing the lights, import taxes etc. - total cost around £5600.
I challenge anyone to find a similar second hand Honda for less than 10 -12,000 euros in Spain, Germany etc..
If you're prepared to do the research and deal with the importation process, you cannot possibly lose !
I visited the Honda dealership in Gandia last week and looked in the showroom.
There was a new Civic @ 28,400 euros !.

After a quick search for 2007 Honda Accord 2.0L petrol, I found 21 for sale, 16 less than 12,000€ and 7 less than you paid for your car .
If you own a good car, then bring it.
However, buying a car to import to Spain is simply not worth the hassle. Buying a 10 year old RHD is just plain ..........

However, you have failed to notice the important criteria - 2.0 litre Executive version, automatic, petrol, less than 65,000 km, 2 owners, full service history.
We don't want: manual, diesel, 150,000km, etc.etc..

All of those I mentioned were petrol, most have less than 150,000 Km and some are auto

Its no good. You clearly just don't get it !
The difference between 60,000 & 150,000 is the deal breaker but the other criteria were equally important.
I give in !

Those leather seats in the Spanish summer as well.................. Wow! And the steering wheels on the wrong side for safe overtaking. All in all a total Deal breaker for me!!!!!

Not a car but i bought a scooter without being on the padron. Just had to show a copy of escrutira or rental contract.

I've been picking through advice and information on the forum about changing over a foreign car to register it is Spain. It is LHD anyway so nothing mechanical is needed, but it sounds quite difficult and expensive with numerous visits to different places.
Is this really the case?

Only you can decide if the hassle is worth saving few £ by buying a car and importing to Spain.
