Re: Price of kebab....
Thanks for that.
I do have a couple of floodlights working on solar with movement detectors and they are pretty good. I use one also over the entrance door so we can see to get in. |
Re: Price of kebab....
I'm looking at 5 of these, in a rack.
https://autosolar.es/baterias-litio-...ch-us2000c-48v But at a grand each they are not cheap. |

When this thread was first started, I hadn't noticed any particular rises in the prices of the groceries we buy. But in the New Year, I saw that the price of some bread and instore bakery items in Mercadona had gone up quite a bit (in percentage terms). The multi-grain sliced bread we like had increased from €1.45 a loaf to €1.60, pan cristal bread rolls from €0.35 each to €0.45 and pain aux raisins from €0.60 each to €0.75. The price of individual croissants and chocolate muffins has not changed, though. Then this morning I saw the biggest price jump yet in Mercadona - Heinz baked beans, which were €0.75 a tin, are now €1.10. However, the Tesco website now shows that the same size tin costs 1.00 pound in the UK, so I suppose that should not be surprising (they may be cheaper in other stores).

Rosemary Are you just paying extra for a piece of paper stuck to the outside of a can? |

Re: Price of kebab....
Not bothered about the cost of a kebab (nor baked beans, lol) but coffee and cake at my favourite cafe in our town yesterday was E4.30 - when I last visited a few weeks ago it was E3.80 (a 13.5% increase). At least it was good cake and good coffee.

Re: Price of kebab....
The prices in my local cafe for menu del dia have jumped from 12 euros to 14 euros.
The headline inflation rate that is being reported in the media is about 5% but I think in many cases it is more like 20% on some goods and services. |

Re: Price of kebab....
Everything will continue to go up. This is what happens when you close your economy and print money to pay people for sitting at home.

Re: Price of kebab....
On UK morning TV today they estimated a FURTHER £1000 on annual fuel/electric costs per house hold, due to Russia invading Ukraine!
