Default previous address on green residencia paper

I got my green residencia paper some 16 years ago in Altea, changed address since then.Padron paper states my current address. If I buy/sale a property will my green paper still be valid for this or will I need to have got a TIE.I have asked various sources & cannot get an answer.

I would think that you should have had the address changed on the green residencia every time you moved house. As I say I guess rather than know for certain. I would also say to be on the safe side you would be better updating the address now which will of course entail getting the new TIE card but I would think that would be simple exchange so dealt with direct with Policia National. I would guess that should be a fairly fairly straight forward process using the EX23 form and using your padron certificate to prove registered at the new address.

No problem, I bought a house last year with an out of date address on my green residencia form. All they want to know is if you are the owner of the house if you are selling and whether you are resident/ non-resident.

The address on your green card/certificate must always be up-to-date. It is the address that many authorities use to contact you.

I have changed my address about 4 times+ since I originally got my green certificate & have never had a problem when buying or selling. But with Brexit looming I think that after 31st Dec. it will be different which is why I am asking at this time.As there are so many who are applying for the 1st time hence the lack of appointments,I didn't want to take up an appointment unnecessarily.

In theory. that is the only time you need to produce a Padron. That enables them to put the correct address on the new card.
