Maybe you have just not had it running long enough to make the chlorine that is needed in this heat.
You did put salt in to begin with ? ;-))

Low water will allow air to be sucked in.

I added salt before I had a test kit but now the check strip tells me the salt level is to high.Hopefully with the higher water level the sun will help to get it down to the right level.

these two site HERE and HERE are quite handy for info on problems, the second one has videos but make allowences for being an American site.
