Spain meanwhile has reiterated its intention to fight Gibraltar getting full UEFA acceptance as a member.

When the brown stuff finally hits the fan I am relying on the workers from La Linea to sort out the Spanish politicians rather than loose their jobs.

Just hours after the GFA’s historic win against San Marino, the Spanish government has once again renewed its public opposition to Gibraltar joining UEFA.
In answers to questions from Basque delegates in the Spanish Congress, the government said its position is ‘immovable’, and Spain will continue to oppose Gibraltar’s membership of UEFA with every legal weapon in its armoury.
The PP government (led by Mariano Rajoy - pictured here) says it cannot allow Gibraltar to have an increased say in international sporting matters, as if it was a separate country to the UK
