Planning a day in Seville, any advice?
Hi Everyone,
We want to plan a trip to Seville for a day when we're over in CE in a weeks time.
Anyone driven to Seville from Ayamonte/Costa Esuri? If so where would you recommend to park?
Also any attractions you would recommend to visit would be nice
Thanks guys,
Steve.

There is a big car park by the river or you can park at the university. There's loads to see the cathedral is a must. It is quite a good idea to take one of the horse and cart rides as they show you quite a bit including the Plaza de Espana and the maria louisa park. I think they are about 50 euro for 4 people and it lasts about an hour.

Just whatever you do plan your drive, plan your route, plan where you're going to park. We once decided to do a 'detour' to see Seville en route to somewhere else and the through-route is a bit of a nightmare if you don't know the place. We ended up bickering the whole time and seeing very little apart from river bridges and non-existent signposts!!

If you have time, I recommend going across the river to have a look around the Triana area. There are a lot of ceramic workshops there where you can see the beautiful hand-painted tiles being decorated, and there are some nice restaurants along the riverside on Calle Betis where you get a superb view looking over to the city.

There are lots of great things to see in Seville and just wandering the streets is a treat in itself. The Cathedral is much lauded and should be visited if only to see Christopher Colon but only after you've been to the Alcazar. If it's not crowded save some time to stroll the gardens.
