Black money has always been illegal, but believe me it happens!!

Usually the only way to avoid black money is to a) buy off-plan, or b) buy from a British seller as they are more easily influenced.

The agent is quite right to deter you from asking for black money, but I don´t think Spanish sellers are quite so easily influenced by agents or buyers.

i know it happens as when i bought mine 18 months ago there was a large chunk of it. but it seems like there acctually cracking down on it now.
i guess its just a matter of being careful
