pharmacy question

I am struggling to find a pharmacy that sells estrogen pill over the counter without having to go and register with a doctor, am looking in the calahonda area

Re: pharmacy question

I doubt that this would be available anywhere over the counter, nor should it be.
It is necessary to visit a GP about this sort of medication

Re: pharmacy question

I thought that this was a prescription only medication in the EU so you probably will not find a pharmacy that will sell it to you.

Recently saw a list of drugs which were available to buy
Very surprised to see antibiotics available over the counter, no prescription

That was stopped years ago. Any pharmacy doing this is acting illegally

For the contraceptive pill, it depends on the pharmacy you go to (apparently) whether you need a prescription or not

I have found that if I go to the Pharmacy with an old empty prescription packet, they will sell me a repeat no problem.

I am on regular medication and always keep a copy of my prescription when travelling. Usually a photo on my phone.

You can go and see a private Dr for 50 euros and they will give you a prescription

Sounds cheap to me - compared with paying monthly social security contributions ;)

Re: pharmacy question

... thereafter she would only need to show the prescription packet to get a repeat prescription. In addition she would need to pay the cost of the tablets.

Have you tried the pharmacy in Calypso, I find they are normally very helpful.
