Pensions from UK
Has anybody heard or know something about...
The 2017 budget legislation stipulates that pension transfers outside of the EU (EEA) are subject to a tax charge of 25% of the entire value. It looks like, the moment the UK leaves the EU under Brexit, the Government will want to tax the pensions of all British expatriates in Europe.????? Tortis |
Re: Pensions from UK
Woah tiger! Are we talking about STATE pensions or transferring PRIVATE pensions into stuff like QROPS ( not my field, of course) or whatever.
How do YOU perceive it?Sensationalised, incomplete or speculative so called 'News' you may hear is sometimes the worse thing. |

And sorry, 'Welcome!'

Re: Pensions from UK
I think it is speculative too, but...
that is why I am eager to hear from other people. Thank you. |
Re: Pensions from UK
I think this is what you are referring to?
http:// https://www.gov.uk/transferr...pension-scheme Having your state pension paid in another country is totally different, as simply payment not a transfer. |

I guess, we will just have to wait and see, isn't it?
