Default Part exchanging a UK reg car

Anyone brought a car over then part exchanged it for a Spanish one? or anyone know whether its worth doing?

Car not, but asked about exchanging a bike and the reason they gave for not accepting it was that they had no way to tell if it was free of debt so they would not even consider it.

Looks now as though they will drive it over and then get it matriculated.

I brought my Shogun over and then found that I could not register it here for various reasons - all turned out to be false but the technical engineer from Valencia was haveing none of it!

So, I then P/exd the Shogun for a Spanish 4x4. I would say that I would NEVER use that company again. It's a spanish car dealership run by brits (no names I know ...). They were about the only people offering to p/ex a UK vehicle.


The actual process was simple and staright forward but it did take 6 months to get my 'log book' from Valencia. In the mean time, getting notes from the dealer was not so simple.
