Parking Ticket! Again!

Went to the local pub for an hour! And now have a parking ticket for 30 Euros! EEK!

Used to be free.. Yellow line thing.. Just ignored it!

The local police used to come and warn you if there was a problem. Dos Canas, and a parking ticket?

Has Ken LIVINGSTONE moved?

The same thing happened around our place in inland Sevilla last year.
It must be due to the next years local police budget or something.
People who had been parking without any problems for months Suddenly started to get parking tickets during October & November

Normal service was resumed in January of this year. :sneaky:

Just to say, those yellow lines mean NO PARKING so you shouldn't really be that surprised at getting a ticket. I know lots of people ignore them and get away with it, but you should be thankful that you only got a ticket, around here you would have come out anf found your car towed away.

Yeah but it was gone 11pm and it was dark and the yellow line was faded and everyone always parks there and.. and... and...

Guilty as charged My Lord... But doesn't mean I not going to have a go at getting it cancelled!

You would have been better off parking on one of the give ways (which look like zebra crossings and are used as such by tourists in Benidorm) everyone parks on those and no problem. Or maybe even try Spanish parking - parking next to a parked car  (often done with the engine running and door open )

Roundabouts are the safest place to park, especially if there is a bar on the corner. ;-)

I have got the real HUMP about this parking ticket!!! :curse:

Although it is a little village where I live, there is the usual crime, robberies, pick pocketing, etc and they pick on me!

When the rain stops.... I am going to give it large at the Policia Locale.

If don't get any joy, I will enjoy it anyway, Cos them boys are soooooo cute!!!

Oh Sarah - I am so sorry about the parking ticket and didn't mean to laugh, but the parking in Spain is so ridiculous. I am surprised you got a parking ticket - you must remember two things - blue line (parking meters) yellow line - definite NO NO ;)
