Parking Fines

Re: Parking Fines
Thanks for the advice! (Of course it means driving back to Benidorm—and parking!—but I may well take it up.)
I notice that some people have referred to an "envelope". I got no envelope, just a little invoice like a credit card receipt, taped to to a small Boletin de Denucia. No indication even of how I should pay it, though I have been told I should go to the Suma in Calpe.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed.

You should never hear any more about it as you have paid the minimum in the correct way.
If this is not done, then the full amount is now owing and can not be appealed against.

'round here the process is that you have 30 minutes from when the fine was issued. The ticket will say how much to pay (normally 6 euros). You go to the meter, press the appropriate button, pay the 6 euros, put ticket in slot and wait for receipt. You then fold part of the ticket with the receipt (keeping the other part as proof of payment) and put it in the other slot.
You should never hear any more about it as you have paid the minimum in the correct way.
If this is not done, then the full amount is now owing and can not be appealed against.

This is exactly the process I should have expected. I arrived 20 minutes after the fine was issued. But the little taped invoice specifically states that it could not be cancelled in this way. (The instructions for cancelation are on the back of the part to which this invoice was taped.)
It does say that I will get a 30% discount if I pay within 15 days. I guess that's what I'm going to do.
Can anyone confirm that Suma is the place to pay it?

John, I never knew that Sticky Vicky ever went that far south, but in case we’re getting mixed up, I don’t mind explaining.
Sticky Vicky is probably the most well-known magic act in expat Spain. She appears on a dimly lit stage, stark naked, and produces lighted light bulbs from the most unusual places. She’s been doing it for more than 30 years to my knowledge.
What isn’t as well known is that she also runs the best Gestoria business in Benidorm, catering for the business community. That she is married to the chief of police probably doesn’t harm her business.
I’ve also found her to be as honest as the day is long.

I’ve got another pal, TL. who’s not been well recently. He lived on the outskirts of Benidorm for many years, kept his head down, and still nicked a mugger on La Cala beach a few years ago.
Before I get too carried away, I’ve got to say that I hate grasses and rubber heelers, and love the rest of them. What a funny place to say something like that.

Blimey, and this is about parking tickets. You’ll be telling me next that you know about C8 and Ken Drury, my pal. It’s a funny world.

When we were young aides at Hackney, a thousand years ago, we ruled the streets, I’ve seen the Krays lips tremble when we spoke to them.
I worry about parking tickets now, I wake up when the Doberman barks at four in the morning, I used to be able to do 50 press-ups at a time, I can’t manage more then ten now, and I’ve been looking at the Viagra sites.
