Parcels from and to Spain.
Has anyone had problems recently. I sent two parcels from Spain to a friend in the USA. One was registered and one wasn´t. Neither arrived. A friend sent me a present for Christmas from Oz it never got here. Now I am waiting for some glasses from Specsavers that were posted registered post 7 days ago no sign of them.

The parcel to US shows still being in Spain at the end of November. |
Re: Parcels from and to Spain.
Only problems we have ever had was when we posted through one of the "agents", but posting direct via post office never had any problems, also receiving parcels, have always arrived ok.

Re: Parcels from and to Spain.
No problems this xmas but a parcel did disappear last summer. I received a refund then the parcel finally arrived 5 months after posting
That reminds me I still haven't let them know it's arrived  |

I sent two parcels just before Xmas that haven't arrived from my business with a total value of nearly 200 pounds. Neither have arrived. One to Italy and one to France. I have to make lots of 'little things' again and pay the postage again. Many customers once offered a free replacement don't bother to report late arrival. Right now I can't really afford this and I'm quite concerned as I've never had any problems with Spanish post before except on the odd tiny 'pocketable' parcel. I do accept a small level of loss rather than registering parcels but in our present financial state £200 is quite a loss! I'm also missing a parcel of paperwork in this direction. However 7 -8 or even 9 days is fairly normal for us this way, so I wouldn't worry about your glasses yet. |
Re: Parcels from and to Spain.
Spanish postal service has for years been notorious for its poor service even the Spanish don't trust it.
I have lost count of the stuff I have lost. So you are not alone for sure. |
Re: Parcels from and to Spain.
I once was tracking some documents from the USA. They left Houston Tuesday (DHL), that evening they arrived at East Midlands. Wednesday morning 7.25 they were in Málaga depot. They arrived at my house at 6.10pm, just 45 mins away:rofl:

This xmas about 5 parcels were lost on their way here.Others took forever to arrive. My daughters xmas parcel to us took a month to arrive.Other presents arrived in time for the kings. Last year my dad sent money insured, 3 of them over a couple months and none arrived. Even bought something from ebay Spain recently which was supposed to be a very quick courior service which we paid 19 euros for.Still took 2 weeks to arrive. Posted a duplicate wii game this morning sold on ebay.8 euros for signed for and 6 euros normal.Even the correos woman said how costly it is. Luckily I have never lost the purchase of an old bear or toy which I have to buy online now cos there are none here.:frown: You just cant trust them- the Correos or Royal Mail. And their little mopeds dont exactly fill you with confidence especially when you see them in the street unattended with parcels on view. |

Re: Parcels from and to Spain.
Amazon already deliver to Spain from the UK though, don't they? And after buying up BuyVip they intend to expand their Spanish operations. Indeed they're now advertising for Spanish personnel amazon busca personal
Which will increase the pressure on this outfit who currently serve the Spanish market http://www.casadellibro.com/ |
