Paperwork Checklist

Right, so I've asked this several times in different forums, including here.

As far as I know I'm up to date with everything I need to be up to date with, but just double checking, because I don't know how much things have changed/are changing/will change.

So, what paperwork is needed for a British/EU citizen to live and work in Spain?

(am currently looking at the Embassy in Madrid and the "Free Beer" to see what there is there, but just asking for more personal info too).

Your passport. It's not a facetious answer, that's all you need when you come to live and work in Spain as an EU citizen.

You may need other paperwork, perhaps even a mountain of it, once you work or set yourself up in business, but all that is way down the line.

Have a look at this, I've always found it to be an excellent guide myself.

Love that clip, never tire of viewing it even though we have never had any problems with paperwork as we always go fully prepared (well over the top prepared) but never taken a stapler so guess that we were not that prepared after all.

There are actually people on You Tube who said they didn't like the clip!

A brilliant anti-jobsworth film

As mentioned previously elsewhere, about the only thing they got wrong was the coffee break which would normally involve the guy disappearing into a local bar for an hour or so, making what already is the shortest working week in Europe even shorter and causing even more frustration for the poor soles waiting patiently for some sort of service to be resumed.

sounds like my local (UK) post office.....
the longer the queue the fewer on the counters.
they must take their lunch break during 12-2 period, sitting there cashing up etc.
