Overloading your car! (sticking out the back)
We could do with moving a fridge freezer in our estate car.
It will stick out the back and mean the tailgate will be tied down. The lights are not part of the tailgate so are still visible. In the UK you would just tie a red rag on there and be fine. I've seen lorries with signs attached to the end of the load with a red triangle on it! Would the standard red warning triangle attached to the end of the load suffice? Hows it going to be viewed in Spain? First of all in your experience and anyone know what the law actually says? Thanks Keith |

We have seen a red and white diagonal lined square plate used. You can purchase them from any shop which sells motor parts. God knows what hey are called though.

Thanks for all the advice.
At the end of the day we got one of the locals to shift it in a trailer and all was legal. But If I had to I think I'd just stick a warning triangle on it and stay off the motorway, its pretty quiet round here bar the "Highway Patrol" Anyway thanks for the advice. |

Agreed, that's why I wouldn't be too worried about going round the general streets. Police on the motorway are another thing all together though!
