Our thanks
We now leave for UK then to our home in France and would not wish to leave without expressing our sincere thanks both to this forum and its contributors.
Perhaps just six months is not enough time to arrive at a decision but for us Spain is fraught with difficulties and utilising risk and reward we have decided to move on. In our opinion the question of the health provision mainly here in Valencia and the taxation in Spain generally poses too much risk.
Of course France has its share of problems but health is not one and there is a universal acceptance that it (France) outstrips its neighbours in this particular field but of course that brings with it costs which perhaps cannot be supported.
On a personal level Blevin Franks agree that the tax regime in France is more beneficial to us than Spain.
So away we go but will return but simply for holidays. We will spend our euros in a lovely country with lovely people and great weather. But underpinning all of this is doubt corruption greed and insecurity in buying property.
So our best wishes to everyone and once more our sincere thanks to everyone all of whom has helped us in our short time in Spain.
