Cool Organic friendly in Calida / Sth Blanca

Just wondering if anyone knows how Organic friendly Spain is? Do they spray crops or are there actual retail outlets that specialise in organic produce?

Spain has a very good record on Organic food production and in fact the meat, and in particular the pork industry found it very easy on the whole to get certified, the main problem is that it exports over 99% of it but a good percentage of food produced and on sale in the markets could be considered to be Organic. The main organic area seams to be Andalucia, so you should find it easy in Chiclana. You could try AGREXFRUT, not sure where they are but they are quite big, or BALCON DE EUROPA, I'm sure they are down south.

Certainly much of the produce on sale in supermarkets as well as on market stalls doesn't have the uniformness that many UK housewives expect, ones looking like that are shipped off to the UK but the rest are sold here, and I was told that the majority of fruit and veg would be classed as organic, or at least transitional in the UK. Much of it is far tastier as well.
