Old Danish Furniture
Im moving to the outer regions of Barcelona in August.
We currently deciding what to keep and what to sell (here or there).
So my question is. Do the trendy hipster types in Barcelona have any interest in Danish furniture? or anything in the retro/vintage spectrum? I have a rather tasty Kofod Larsen "Housemaster" Chair in a rare Rosewood (opposed to the slightly more common teak). Plus a few G-Plan Astro tables and the such like. But its not worth lumping them over there if in doing so I render them worthless. In fact I have a load of weird n wacky stuff from a large red foot leather Chaise longue (complete with toes) A sofa made out of the front end of a red VW BEETLE (which lights up) and various other randoms ranging from a 4 ft wide 1953 enamel Coca Cola button, 7 space ball "Weltron 2001" 8 tracks & 4 space helmet "videopshere" TV's. So...would a Barcelona resident look with disdain at my round Astro table and think Ive nicked it out of his grans house? Or screw his nose at my kofod because its not quite Corbusier enough? Basically is it best to flog the Danish stuff here (UK) while I can....

if it's what you like & it's to furnish your home what does it matter what anyone else thinks?
or what the monetary value is

Personally I would not pay to bring over anything that I was intending to sell as you will not really recoup the transportation costs.
I am with Lynnxa, your home is your place and should reflect your likes and it is irrelevant what others think of this.

We are keeping the more recent things that we like. But we wont be furnishing our new home with the Danish'ish items. They are going to be sold either way for the nappy fund. I was about to fleabay them here, but I thought it was worth asking if anyone had any knowledge on whether they have a better value over there. Shipping costs dont matter as its not costing us anything.

Re: Old Danish Furniture
Im not too fussed what they think really. I was just trying to add a bit of humour in how I put the 'should I sell here or there' question. Sorry if it came across that way. All our relocation costs are being paid for by the company, including a big lorry. So the cost of taking isnt a problem. Time is running out and Ive far too much to organise in our last few weeks here. I could do without having to sell the Danish'y stuff here so it would be nice if they I could just do it when I had more time over there.
