Number of millionaires in Spain to double by 2017!
We're saved! According to a report by Credit Suisse (covers all world economies) the number in Spain will double by 2017 to 616,000.
However worth noting that the number has decreased somewhat lately,

The study estimates that there were 313,000 millionaires in Spain half way through this year, compared with the 400,000 there were half way through 2011,

Also, I dont think you can call someone who has a property that they think is worth a million dollars a millionnaire
For me, it is someone who has this money in the bank and so doesnt have to work if they dont want to

Maybe they are basing their estimate on the high-tech start-up sector, with the hope of Spanish Zuckerbergs?

Over the last 15 years Spain has produced dozens of highly successful internet entrepreneurs, who came up with innovative ideas in the late 1990s that turned them into multi-millionaires. And snapping at their heels are dozens of other disruptive thinkers who have created web-based businesses.

Over the past two months the business has hired seven new members of staff, all either based in the company’s head office in Barcelona or its development centre in Valencia, Spain. The company ultimately wants to recruit an additional 20 members of staff, aiming to strengthen the development and marketing teams in order to launch its first mobile games before the end of the year, and make a concerted effort to establish itself in new southern European and Latin American markets.

Well with house prices declining, how would this rise in millionaires be based on property ownership?

Let's hope some of the new start-ups hire in decent numbers, like Akamon appear to be doing

Yes, in the news today, S&P rate bonds one level above junk, analysts even more pessimistic over Spanish economy in 2013, inflation up, unemployment expected to be up in the last quarter (currently worse than Nigeria). But hey, it's not all bad news, Huesca airport passenger numbers are up 1.5%, they had 67 passengers last month. It's all looking good.
