Does anyone know the approximate notary costs to amend an escitura
We have to add a swimming pool and a porch to our escitura at a declared cost of 23,000 euros. We have all the necessary plans and documentation and a certificate of antiquity as the additions are 14 years old.
We are employing and interpreter as our Spanish is not good but with all the horror stories we read we want to be aware of all the costs.

I can't say how much that specific service would cost, but whenever I've used a notary I've always been amazed at how little I've had to pay!!

Our experience is that notars are (still) very cheap in Spain.
In Germany, simply notarising a signature on a document can cost €300-€500. It's insane.

You should be able to go into the local notary office and they will give you an estimate of their fees. Please be aware that in our local area we find the notaries charge different prices i.e. Benidorm more expensive than Albir, La Nucia and Altead
