Nokia Battery
 

My old phone has died, it is the one my late husband gave me and I would like to try and retrieve some data from it before transferring my sim to swanky new Samsung ( well is it posh to me :D )

So my question is ( waffle morning here ) is there a place in Ayamonte that I can buy a BL-4B Nokia battery to allow me to get phone working ta. I know I can look on E Bay etc but think local first.

Will it power up by just using the charger?

They normally work if the phone is still plugged in the charger

I have tried leaving it on charge for days no luck, also tried to switch it on while on charge ...only worked once but not long enough to do anything. The battery looks 'blown' raised up ? It was fried in the sun last year for 10 days when I left it outsude while away from home ( yip numpty) it worked fine till about a month ago. The battery then stopped holding charge for more than day then poof not at all.

Find someone with a similar phone / battery and buy them a drink in exchange for a little use ;)

I have bought phone batteries online from All-Batteries.es, postage is free and they arrive in 3-4 days.

I don't want to pay a huge amount for a battery that will be only used to recover any info I can from a phone with a 'bullet hole' effect screen. I will have a look at the link thanks.

Not sure if all Nokia batteries are the same but we might have an old one you can use (even if only temporarily while you transfer data. We are coming over for a few days on Sunday; if you haven't got sorted by then, let me know.

Thanks will do, maybe we can meet in town. All Nokia batteries are not the same, I out the number of mine in the first post ta. I can check out where the bar is before then.

A good friend visitied with a fully charged battery that fits whoo hoo will see what I can transfer to other phone. Thanks to all for your help. John, thanks for the battery do you want it back sometime ? it did not fit my phone.
