Default No debemos.....no pagamos.

I am just watching the news, all over Spain there are demos against the economic siutation caused by the banks.

There are "caceroladas" in most major cities in Spain and in more countries all over the world.

They are against the banks reposessing homes, and taking to the streets and asking for the government to look after the population in general and not the bankers.

Will anyone listen, or is it just a futile attempt that falls on deaf ears?

I'm not sure the protests will do anything at all, tbh, but if you're broke, no job, prices rising, house being repossessed etc, then I guess that's all you're left with. The governments of the countries concerned are all skint, I'm not sure what they can do, and I'm sure the banks would rather people could afford their mortgage payments than repossessing their houses, they don't want them, they can't sell them. Of course we can blame the banks for forcing us to take loans we could never really afford, but we are where we are and I can't see the protests making a blind bit of difference, apart from destroying property and generating some nice overtime pay packets for the police!
