NLV Solicitor

Hi everyone, we would like to retire to Spain but it is so much more difficult now. We live in Essex, can anyone recommend a good lawyer who does this, preferably someone you have used. Thanks in advance.

Thank you but we need an English solicitor as the process has to be completed before we can travel/move in your country of origin.

I'm not sure it is a thing the average UK lawyer or solicitor does. They specialise in UK law and emigrating to Spain has nothing to do with UK law.
Try googling something like "UK visa consultants".

Have you looked into the income and healthcare requirements that are required to gain a visa. Is it a non lucrative visa or work visa that you will be applying for?

I sent Ignacio Pellicer (Partner) a WhatsApp he replied - Of course. We have been doing that for many years before Brexit.

I suggest you contact them and you can probably arrange a video/zoom meeting. They speak excellent English and have many international clients

I would further suggest they are far more competent to understand Spanish law than any British company.

Hi. As you are living in the UK you need to apply in the UK at the nearest Spanish embassy to where you live (London). We have just been through the process. Some friends of ours tried to apply in Spain and were refused.

l fully agree with HIONJOS, you need to apply for a non lucrative visa from the Spanish consulate while you are still living in the UK from London, Manchester or Edinburgh. You will need to meet with the income requirements which for a couple would be around €34,000 per annum plus full private healthcare paid for a full year.
It will be a very expensive to employ solicitors if you can't meet the basic requirements.
