Newbies in Oliva
My husband, baby daughter, dog and I are moving over from Edinburgh in November. Can anyone help with the best way to meet other ex-pats when we arrive? Any mum and baby coffee mornings? Can we take doggy to the beach? And is anyone familiar with the Dog Grove?
Thanks!
Thanks!

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.
BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
Please let me know if you need any further help.

Theres lots of options for meeting expats around here. U3A is a group that does various interests from Pilates through to Photography and also does a weekly Quiz in Bar El Pelut. Theres the Gandia Social Club which meets every week at Viva Espana, and a couple of Bars, like the Sportsman which has live SKY football. Theres another weekly Quiz on Tuesdays at Bar Tossal Gros up on Tossal Gros Mountain
No, you cant walk the Dogs on the Beach. Some people do, but if the Guardia see you they wont be impressed
I have no idea what the Dog Grove is :-)
