Newbies on board

Hi to all
Sue and Dave here from Brighton. We are currently looking at properties in Spain (Alicante area) but before we take the plunge would like to rent an apartment for six months or so to get a taste. Would any of you knowledgeable folk be able to point us in the right direction. Thanks in advance

Hi Sue & Dave,
The best way to find and secure a rental is to be here and (with pen in hand) ready to sign on the line!! It's very difficult to find a good quality rental at this time of year as most (spare) villas/apartments are rented out for holiday lets at high prices.

Before you sign up to anything make sure you look into all the other requirements that you need to reside in Spain.

Steve

In the mean time, you should look on Idealista and Fotocasa to get an idea of what's available and average prices.

Renting is a smart move , buying during the next 1-2 years is foolhardy , Google will help a lot finding a rental property but getting over there for a holiday / recce is the best way , there`s plenty to go at.
