New SEPA regulation
Received an email from my fiscal rep saying that I must supply them with my banking BIC/IBAN details. Apparently it is a new requirement from 1st Feb this year. They also say that all the utility companies, Suma etc require this info.
Otherwise bills cannot be paid.
Has anyone else heard of this?

Personally, I would try not to do this - unless my bank agreed.

Just to clarify. This is not a security issue. My fiscal rep already has my normal bank details.
This new SEPA regulation is an EU requirement, because the eurozone decrees that bank account numbers must be standardised - hence IBAN /BIC numbers.
